Finger Isolation
Finger Isolation is the ability to move one finger at a time. When children start to use their hands, all fingers move at the same time. However as they grow & develop, they begin to be able to move individual fingers. This ability is very important in the development of fine motor skills. It contributes to developing an efficient pencil grasp, being able to fasten & unfasten buttons, & cut with scissors.
